This project focused on highlighting the Anishinabek Police Service through the communities they serve, capturing authentic, day-in-the-life moments that reflect the human side of community-based policing. Rather than concentrating solely on enforcement, the work emphasized presence, relationship-building, and the everyday interactions that form the foundation of trust between officers and community members.
Filming took place across multiple Anishinabek communities, with an emphasis on real environments, candid moments, and natural interactions. The approach was observational and respectful, allowing the story to emerge through lived experience rather than scripted scenes.
The goal of the project was to create an honest and relatable visual narrative that reflects the values of the Anishinabek Police Service, while providing viewers with a deeper understanding of the role APS plays within the communities it serves.
