Exploring the French River
The French River is a true gem right in our backyard… 🚣♂️✨ It’s easy to see why this area has been cherished for generations. Every bend revealed a new, perfect spot to pause and take it all in. What’s even better is how close this adventure is to home. Just a short drive from North Bay, and you’re in a place that feels worlds away. I can’t recommend it enough! 🌊🌲 Take a moment to check out some of the highlights I found along the way… I paddled through some truly memorable spots… Not long after starting, I reached Recollet Falls, a stunning sight that really set the tone for the whole trip. That first night, I camped at site 603, which was a perfect, peaceful retreat under the stars. The next day, I made it all the way out to the Sturgeon Chutes—an absolutely breathtaking area. After that, I paddled back to the Pickerel River and set up camp at site 631 for the night. On the way home, I encountered a turkey vulture and what appeared to be a deceased deer floating in the water, a stark reminder of nature's cycle of life and death. Take a moment to check out some of the highlights I found along the way…
Great Blue Heron
The lighting only lasted for a brief moment when capturing this Great Blue Heron land in its nest. My new Nikon 200-500 5.6 is off to a great start. Photographed with the Nikon Z7ii.

Ireland
These photographs were captured on film over twenty years ago while cycling around Ireland. How the camera still worked after all that rain is impressive... Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Redbridge, Ontario
If you like classical music and fall colours, take a look at the clips captured tonight at the Redbridge lookout. It was a bit of a hike uphill but worth it in the end.
